Also known as a ‘small sword’ – this is a light one-handed sword designed for thrusting. Historically it is thought to have originated in France, before being accepted across the rest of Europe. For most of 18th century anyone – civilian or military – with aspirations to ‘Gentleman’ status would have worn a ‘small sword’ on a daily basis.

  •  Grip 4” (101.6mm), Hilt including pommel 6” (152.4mm)
  •  Scabbard is light tan leather with steel fittings
  •  Blade is EN45 and blunt
